Kariakoo Market Corporation is an autonomous Government Institution
established under the Kariakoo Market Corporation Act no 36 of 1974
(Revised by the Act No 16 of 1985, to manage and control the Kariakoo
Market and establish and manage other markets in the City of Dar es Salaam.
Administratively the Kariakoo Market Corporation reports to the
President’s office Regional Administration and Local Government.
Kariakoo Markets Corporation invites applications from qualified

Minimum qualifications and experience Bachelor degree in Public Health,
Environment or
equivalent from any reputable institution. Computer literate.
Duties and responsibilities
- Supervises all duties related to public health.
- Controls and administer quality of goods entering the market
- Ensures that the market environment all the time is clean
- Assists the health and safety manager on departmental budget preparation.
- Ensures that the contract performs well and the litter is empted accordingly
- Performs such other duties as will be assigned by Head of Department.
