Kariakoo Market Corporation is an autonomous Government Institution

established under the Kariakoo Market Corporation Act no 36 of 1974

(Revised by the Act No 16 of 1985, to manage and control the Kariakoo

Market and establish and manage other markets in the City of Dar es Salaam.

Administratively the Kariakoo Market Corporation reports to the

President’s office Regional Administration and Local Government.

Kariakoo Markets Corporation invites applications from qualified

Tanzanians to fill the following vacant positions:-

8. Driver Cum Messenger - 1post

Minimum qualifications and experience:

Must possess Certificate of Secondary Education (IV or VI)

Clean and valid class “C” driving license, with minimum three years

working experience.

Trade test Grade I in motor vehicle driving from recognized institution

such as NIT or VETA.

Duties and Responsibilities.

• Drives properly corporation vehicles and motorcycles
• Ensuring that vehicle, motor vehicle assigned is parked in safe place
• Maintains and record movements of the vehicles in the log boot.
• Ensure that the vehicle is well maintained and kept in good running condition.
• Collective and dispatching outgoing and incoming emails.
• Ensures availability of vehicle equipment and tools every time
• Besides driving duties he/she will perform basic office related task
• such as filling documents, photocopying, delivery and collection of various items.
• Performs any other duty as may be assigned by his/her supervisor.
