Totohealth
is a social enterprise based in Moshi town, Kilimanjaro Region. Totohealth aims
to contribute towards reaching Tanzania’s national vision of ending preventable
maternal and child deaths by 2035. We offer a set of services available over
the span of pregnancy, delivery and up to 5 years of a child’s life. Our
package of solutions include (1) information, education and communication (IEC)
through a interactive text messaging platform, (2) life-saving products
including a comprehensive Clean Delivery Kit (CDK) to be used at delivery, and
(3) Newborn Survival Pack (NSP) with applicable supplies for the mother and for
newborn survival for first month of life. All these services are implemented in
partnership with local District Government Departments, organisations& NGOs
with mothers as clients. Our goals is to support Community Health Workers
(CHWs) that are linked to these organisations to better provide IEC, continuum
of care at household level, and get mothers to deliver with the help of a
skilled birth attendant (at a health facility), and have access to the products
they need at health-facility and household level.
Position
description
The Intern Admin Assistant will support
the implementation of all Administration processes, implementing appropriate
controls and best practises. He/She will
also have hands on accounting and admin role with a variety of administrative
functions.
Responsibilities
●
Design,
implement and improve administration processes and controls throughout the
organization.
●
Manage
company petty cash, book-keeping tasks as per policies.
●
Administer
incoming Invoices, accounts payable, provide aging accounts, pay invoice on
agreed terms.
●
Monthly
accounting on petty cash.
●
Purchasing
of office items and make sure everything required in the office are in place.
●
Ensure
all statutory compliance, verses preparations & submission of VAT, W/T,
NSSF & PPF return in time, and ensure payments are made before due date.
●
Plan
and monitor organizational and department cash flow needs
●
Manage
all administration tasks, office-opening and closing, staff visa requirements,
and all office errands.
●
Create
and maintain fixed-asset registrar
●
Get
all our invoices scanned and administered in the right formats for grants and
funds purposes
●
Maintain
the HR files or the employees (creating, filling, updating).
●
Assisting
for coordinating performance based appraisals and all statutory HR compliance.

Qualifications:
●
Hold
a Diploma/Degree major in accounting.
●
Skilled
in Accounting Packages QuickBook will be added advantage
●
Knowledge
in Tanzanian Accounting and Tax laws (R)
Experience
and skills
●
1
year experience in a accounting role
●
Excellent
interpersonal skills, including team work and individual excellence
●
Excellent
time management skills
●
Excellent
written, oral and presentation skills in both English and Swahili (preferred)
●
Strong
computer literacy and presentation skills
