As a non-governmental social development organisation we help children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education and health.
The organisation also advocates for children’s rights.
For the SOS Children’s Villages - Syria, Human Resources Department we are seeking a committed
Human Resources Manager (f/m)
Based in Damascus, Syria – Local Contract Base
Main Task and Responsibilities:
· Oversee, refine, and execute employee standards and procedures, using and improving HR existing and recommended systems and processes
· Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expenses, vacation, and other personnel packages
· Responsible of recruitment cycle, and prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
· Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
· Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale
· Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
· Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
Minimum: Bachelor degree in Business Administration or relevant field.
MBA or MSc is plus.
5 years’ experience in Human Resources Managerial Role;
working with NGOs would be a plus.
Very Good (Writing and speaking) Arabic and English languages skills.
Expert knowledge in Microsoft applications
Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
Knowledge of HR systems and databases
Full understanding of Syria Labour Law
