GEF_Small Grants Programme
The Small Grants Programme of the Global Environment Facility (GEF/SGP) is adevelopment programme, which is implemented through the United Nations
DevelopmentProgramme (UNDP).Globally,the GEF/SGP was established in 1992
at the Earth Summit to compliment larger GEF projects by providing a window
for direct participation of local,community-based organizations for projects that
benefits the global environment. The GEF/SGP operates under the philosophy
that global environmental challenges can be addressed effectively when local
people and organizations are involved.
