Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC) through CDC/PEPFAR, Immunization and Vaccine Development Program (IVD) and Global Fund Grants, are looking for enthusiastic, creative and energetic individuals whom will work under contractual agreement to fill the following vacant positions:-

NATIONAL AIDS CONTROL PROGRAM (NACP)

1. JOB TITLE: PROGRAM OFFICER - HIV TESTING SERVICES (HTS)-(1 POSITION)

Location: Dodoma

Reporting to: Head Prevention Unit, NACP

 Duties and Responsibilities:

i. Coordinate HTS by bringing new innovations to achieve new Global targets of 90-90-90 by 2020.

ii. Ensure sustainable, high quality and client focused HTS are implemented across all the regions,

iii. Review of HTS Implementing Partners reports and develop program quarterly reports for HTS.

iv. Ensure that all important tools for HTS are up to date and available in each of the testing point.

v. Coordinate the processes of developing Guidelines, tools and training package for HTS.

 vi. Design and coordinate the implementation of task-sharing policy.

vii. Provide technical guidance and coordinate systematic scale up of Index Client testing.

Experience and Qualifications:

i. Degree in Nursing, Medicine or Health Laboratory related disciplines.

ii. Good interpersonal advocacy, mobilization sensitization and communication Skills.

iii. Computer literacy will be an added advantage.

iv. At least two years working experience in HTS.

v. Strong communication including proficiency in English and Kiswahili languages

vi. Age limit: 50 years

Terms of Employment: 3 months Contract (Renewable based on Performance and availability of funds)

f) Form IV and form VI results slips;

g) Testimonials and all Partial transcripts.

h) Applicants employed in the Public Service

i) Should route their application letters through their respective employers.

v. Applicants should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts.

vi. Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education should be verified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania

(NECTA) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE).

vii. Certificates from Foreign Universities should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).

viii. Applicants with special needs/case (disability) are supposed/advised to indicate.

ix. Presentation of forged certificates and other information will necessitate to legal action.
