Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC) through CDC/PEPFAR, Immunization and Vaccine Development Program (IVD) and Global Fund Grants, are looking for enthusiastic, creative and energetic individuals whom will work under contractual agreement to fill the following vacant positions:-

NATIONAL AIDS CONTROL PROGRAM (NACP)

4. JOB TITLE: TRAINING OFFICER (1 POSITION)

Location: Dodoma

Reporting to: PMTCT Coordinator

 Duties and Responsibilities:

i. Coordinate training activities for the PMTCT Program.

ii. Coordinate PEPFAR Implementing Partners’ activities, including training,supportive supervisions and mentorships.

iii. Take lead in development of training materials, guidelines, manuals and IEC materials for PMTCT.

iv. Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi/annual work plans for implementation of PMTCT activities.

v. Assist in setting up the advocacy strategies at all levels to promote elimination of new HIV infection among children.

vi. Liaise with the Regional and District Health Management Teams to establish support mechanisms/network for PMTCT activities.

vii. Assist in planning PMTCT activities for Council Comprehensive Health Plan.

 Experience and Qualifications:

i. Degree in Health related disciplines

ii. Good interpersonal and leadership skills

iii. Computer literacy will be an added advantage.

iv. Three to five years working experience in coordination of training.

v. Strong communication including proficiency in English and Kiswahili languages.

vi. Age limit: 50 years

 Terms of Employment: 3 months Contract (Renewable based on Performance and availability of funds).

vi. Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education should be verified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania

(NECTA) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE).

vii. Certificates from Foreign Universities should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).

viii. Applicants with special needs/case (disability) are supposed/advised to indicate.

ix. Presentation of forged certificates and other information will necessitate to legal action.
