Job Description 
The Kilombero Valley Teak Company Ltd. (KVTC) is
a forestry company located in the Kilombero and Ulanga Districts of the
Morogoro Region. The Company manages teak plantations and natural woodlands and
processes timber in a factory located at Mavimba in the Ulanga District.

Key Responsibilities:

ü  Lead the
Nutrition component of the program; will be responsible for the overall design,
implementation, oversight, and reporting of the program’s Nutrition activities,
including design of behavior change and communication interventions and
integration of nutrition interventions in the production and market components
of the program.<o:p></o:p>

ü  Identify
and recruit Community Health Volunteers and conduct Social and behavior Change
Communication (SBCC) kits on dietary diversity and hygienic practices in food
preparations and handling. Ensure that project implementation is in compliance
with the stipulations of the selection of Women and Youth Empowerment to at
least 60%.<o:p></o:p>

ü  Promote
consumption of vegetables, fruits, spices and herbs to improve local markets as
well as emphasizing best feeding practices to infant and young children and
hygienic practices in food preparations, so as to overcome micronutrient
deficiency and stunting.<o:p></o:p>

About Niambie BBC Media Action’s Niambie (‘Tell Me’) project provides a unique space in the national media for young people to discuss important issues on their own terms and in their own language. It engages and informs young people from across Tanzania, creating a platform for them to talk to their leaders. Evidence shows that Niambie contributes to increased self-efficacy among young people and women and increased ability to engage in discussions and take action on issues that matter to them. Project outputs include: A national youth-focused radio show Social media channels that provide a space for young people to interact with each other and share their thoughts on important issues Capacity-building with young professionals from five regions across TanzaniaCollaborative partnerships with national media organisations who broadcast the Niambie radio programme About the role Reporting to the senior producer, the Videographer / Graphic Designer will be responsible for filming, editing and creating innovative visual content, ensuring that our online output is of the highest creative and editorial standards and serves the needs of our diverse young audiences. S/he will be expected to come up with visual creative story ideas and treatments for Niambie’s social media platforms. The successful candidate will also be expected to stay up-to-date with new camera and editing technologies, be willing to experiment with new online graphic creation software and propose ideas to ensure Niambie remains at the forefront of online content creation.The Videographer / Graphic Designer will be directly responsible for managing all the project’s visual productions including regularly filming and editing videos, designing and producing infographics and taking/editing photographs to a high standard for use on our digital platforms. The role requires strong editorial skills and a firm grasp of Tanzania’s new online content regulations. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently to a high standard and be capable of making decisions about content and formats without supervision. This is a new role within the Niambie team and candidates will be expected to propose ways in which the post can help to strengthen Niambie’s digital output and grow our digital audiences.
