<b><span style="color: blue;"><u>SENIOR CREDIT APPRAISAL OFFICER – (2 Vacancies, DSM)  </u></span></b><br />
<b>Nature and Scope: </b><br />
The successful candidate will report to the Credit Appraisal Manager.  He/She will be responsible in conjunction with the Credit Appraisal Manager for analyzing/appraising loan applications/proposals, processing approvals, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining client relationships.<br />

<b><u>Key Responsibilities </u></b><br />
 Examine incoming applications/facilities requests for correctness and completion;<br />
 Advice clients on financial and economic issues that could affect their credit application;<br />
 Appraise/analyze credit applications; <span style="font-family: "";"> </span><br />
 Prepare reports pertaining to credit facilities management;<br />
 Monitor credit facilities and projects and ensure proper use of funds;<br />
 Follow up and ensure adequate servicing of credit facilities;<br />
 Maintain close follow-up of irregular accounts and report on them;<br />
 Negotiate repayments in the case of default by clients;<br />
 Assist in providing training and business advisory services to clients;<br />
 Ensure the necessary and relevant bank records, e.g. loan files, are kept and updated as required;<br />
 Carry out any other duties assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.<br />

<b><u>Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience: </u></b><br />
 University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Accounts, Banking or related discipline;<br />
 Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit assessment and/or relationship banking at Officer level;<br />
 Strong computer based analytic skills.<br />
 Strong written and communication skills with ability to write reports in a concise and focused style;<br />
 Good communication and interpersonal skills;<br />

<b><span style="color: blue;"><u>SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR (SYSTEMS AUDIT) – 1 Vacancy - DSM  </u></span></b><br />
<b><u>Nature and Scope: </u></b><br />
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Internal Audit. He/she will be responsible for providing an independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness and efficiency of the Core bank systems, internal controls, and risk assessments on Information Technology and Communication (ICT) systems.<br />

<b><u>Key Responsibilities </u></b><br />
 Assist Head of Internal Audit in developing risk assessment and annual audit plan with emphasis on ICT systems and applications;<br />
 Assist Head of Internal Audit in developing and implementing internal auditing manual, charters, procedures, and program;<br />
 Assist audit team members to ensure that the overall objectives of the audit are met;<br />
 Extract and analyze data from the core banking system and other bank systems and records, including defining audit scope and tests for audit at field works;<br />
 Conduct planned audit fieldwork in specified areas of ICT in relation to the credit function, finance, operations, legal, treasury and other areas, and report on the findings with appropriate recommendations;<br />
 Review the accuracy and efficiency of the bank’s accounting system and internal controls;<br />
 Monitor accuracy of data in different ICT systems like core banking system and all other software used by the bank;<br />
 Direct and/or perform reviews of internal control procedures and security for systems under development and/or suggest enhancements to current systems;<br />
 Keep the Head of Internal Audit regularly informed of the progress of the audit and exception issues related to ICT;<br />
 Prepare audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings and evaluating the sufficiency and appropriateness of audit evidence to support conclusions drawn;<br />
 Prepare audit reports after completion of audit work and submit to Head of Internal Audit for review;<br />
 Follow up and report on implementation of internal, external audit and BOT examination findings and recommendations;<br />
 Carry out special investigations and ad-hoc audits, write investigation reports e.g. for fraud cases, and recommend preventive and control measures;<br />
 Carry out any other duties assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.<br />

<b><u>Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience: </u></b><br />
 University degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline;<br />
 Minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience in a recognized financial institution or audit firm; <br />
 Professional Qualification such as CISA and/or CPA.  Knowledge of programming is essential;<br />
 Knowledge and skills in computer applications for auditing purposes, e.g IDEA,ACL ,etc.;<br />
 Strong written and communication skills with ability to write documentation in a concise and focused style;<br />
 Good communication and interpersonal skills.<br />

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Legal Services and Board Secretary.  He/She will be responsible for carrying out legal and Board/Management secretariat duties, including ensuring that the bank is well advised on all legal issues involving its operations.<br />

 Support the Head of Legal Services and Board Secretary on any matters related to legal undertakings involving the bank; <br />
 Coordinate preparation, execution and registration of contracts and other legal documents;<br />
 Prepare documents for civil suits/litigations;<br />
 Investigate statutory registers to determine legal status of loan applications, securities held by them and borrowing capacities;<br />
 Prepare, execute, register, monitor and keep custody of loan documents, statutory registrations and pre-disbursement conditions;<br />
 Represent the bank in Courts of Law and Tribunals;<br />
 Assist the Head of Legal Services and Board Secretary on all matters including Board secretarial duties;  Carry out any other related duties as may be assigned to him/her by the Supervisor from time to time. Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:<br />
 Master’s Degree/Postgraduate qualifications in Law.<br />
 Minimum of four (4) years’ post-qualification experience in a corporate law environment, two (2) of which must be at Senior Officer level.<br />
 Admission as Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania.<br />
 Ability to assess material evidence and advice on appropriate legal measures.<br />
 Ability to deliver accurate, concise and timely minutes of meetings and other records of the bank’s engagements;<br />
 Keeps abreast of legal issues that affect the business of the employer, in this case the bank.<br />
 Strong written and communication skills with ability to write documentation in a concise and focused style;<br />
 Good communication and interpersonal skills.<br />

<b><u>Nature and Scope: </u></b><br />
The job-holder reports to the Head of Internal Audit. He/She will be responsible for ensuring that all accounting, financial, operational and other systems are adequate in design and effective in operations and to ensure that laid down procedures of the bank are being followed.<br />

<b><u>Key Responsibilities </u></b><br />
 Participate in preparation of Annual Risk Based Internal Audit Plan;<br />
 Participate in the preparation and updating of the internal audit manual and the internal audit charter;<br />
 Evaluate if risks are properly identified and adequately managed in all bank’s operations;<br />
 Review, appraise and report on the soundness, adequacy and application of financial and other management controls;<br />
 Assess the effectiveness on compliance of policies, standards, rules, procedures, applicable laws, regulations and directives and give appropriate advice;<br />
 Conduct assurance, special audits and investigations and present the reports to the Head of Internal Audit;<br />
 Verify and assess the existence, design and effectiveness of controls in all bank’s operations;<br />
 Analyze records for evidence of deficiencies in control, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud or lack of compliance with approved management policies;<br />
 Assess and report on value for money on services and products rendered/received by the Organization;<br />

 Internationally recognized professional accountancy qualification such as CPA(T), ACCA, ACA or any other recognized professional qualification;<br />
 At least three years post qualification practical audit experience in banking/recognized audit firm or reputable institution;<br />
 Computer literate;<br />
 Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to write documentation in a concise and focused style;<br />
 Excellent and well developed interpersonal and organizational skills;<br />
 Must be a team player, very self-motivated and able to manage and prioritize work load with minimum supervision.<br />
